Town: Mount Dora

In theory it is a charming place. Lots of little shops in a downtown district looking over a lake with sailboats. However you notice that it's the same shops you see at any outdoor area made to look like a town or what was once a town turned into a shopping area. Maybe it was a charmign town at one point but now it's something that's designed by a chamber of commerce complete with mall kiosks. Everything is a variation on a gift shop or an overpriced restaurant. A good place to buy old women's clothing or yard whirlygigs made in china - not a place to buy used books or local anything.

So worth stopping once for us but lots of people love it and come back over and over.
