1) What It's Like

It's a short though very pretty trail to a short boardwalk to a 1,000 year old Cypress tree - and some other large ones.

2) Kinds of Birds

It's pretty thick forest but we saw pileated woodpeckers for example.

3) Wildlife

Thick forest so deer etc. Part of larger Goethe State Forest. Armadillo around.

4) Amenities

I don't recall there being bathrooms.

5) Time Requirements

It's about a half mile trail and the tree is at the end. So half an hour would do it.

Experience

It's a pleasant dark enclosed trail though it's wet cypress forest so get ready for mosquitoes.
