1) What It's LikeAn urban out and back forest trail that can't quite escape the road noise. If you live there it's great that it's there but no real reason to go if you don't. 2) Kinds of BirdsWas too closed in to see much more than a cardinal. 3) WildlifeCity wildlife. Saw a racoon. 4) AmenitiesZero. Barely parking. Felt like landing on an aircraft carrier coming off the highway to a complete stop. 5) DirectionsIf I recall correctly it was somewhat on a curve and easy to miss but there was a sign... just watch for it. Off of busy road. 6) Dear Ranger There was one very old worn out map in the box that it looks like people have been handing down for decades. 7) Time RequirementsI doubt it was an hour out and back total. ExperienceIf you were deaf you could believe you were deep in the woods on this out and back trail. But it's along a highway and you can hear it most of the way out there. At the end is a rock and a Buddha statue overlooking some mangroves. It's worth walking but not driving to it to walk. |
