1) What It's Like

Very pretty small peninsula onto Newnan's lake. Not much to it but an incredible quiet and private view, espeically if you were going fishing. I'd stop by if I was driving by.

2) Kinds of Birds

We saw sand hill cranes and heard birds in the trees (sorry - not great with ID's by sond yet). So birds but not sure what kind so much. I should repeat it's a location not really a trail so odds of seeing a lot of birds is limited by that.

3) Wildlife

Not the woods so racoons etc. Has to be alligators on the lake but haven't seen any.

4) Amenities

Picnic table, trailhead sign, and parking. Has to be the shortest trail I've seen with a trailhead sign.

5) Time Requirements

We sat there 20 minutes taking in the view.

Experience

We read that Newnan's lake had some specific species of birds with no reference to where specifically. So we tried a couple spots, this being one. It's really just a pretty place to stop if you happen to be driving by. The lake seems wild - trees all along it at a distance. Almost reminds me of the Suwannee river for some reason.
