OFFICIAL INFO:

1) What It's Like

It's a nice mini-wilderness if you live here - I definitely wouldn't put it on a list of places to visit in the county. It has a pond with probably 2 egrets in it, it goes along a canal, it has forest, it has a skateboarding/graffiti area, and someone saw a fox squirrel here once. Meh.

2) Kinds of Birds

We've seen a couple warblers every couple visits. Usually a couple wading birds in the pond.

3) Wildlife

Someone saw a fox squirrel once - I would anticipate seeing zero animals on your visit though.

4) Amenities

Parking and not much of it. You have to look twice and ask yourself if it actually is parking along the highway.

5) Directions

It's small - easy to miss.

6) Time Requirements

20 minutes would be plenty.

Experience

You park - there's not much room for cars and it's along a busy highway but it's enough space since not many people come here. We saw someone's youtube video of this place while looking for information - we saw it come up as a birding area. The guy said the fence posts were old cattle fence made from trees and he ran into a fox squirrel by the house just off the trail. I'm pretty sure that squirrel is long gone - we haven't seen it.

Anyhow - you park and walk straight a bit and there's a pond on the left. Maybe you'll see a couple egrets/herons. It's not life changing. There's brush on each side and you'll curve around along a canal - that's very exposed. After curving around it gets some cover but first there's a drainage concrete something that people have done graffiti on.
