1) What It's Like

A large spring area for swimming without a central spring vent. Half way abandoned ex-roadside garden attraction. No trails.

2) Kinds of Birds

We didn't really notice any but I'm sure there are typical forest birds.

3) Wildlife

Turtles and seeing fish in the clear waters

4) Amenities

Everything a beach would have including gift shop and snacks.

5) Time Requirements

To walk around the garden sidewalks I'd say like 35 minutes. To swim - however long you want to swim.

Experience

It's a great large area to swim - that's relative to other nice springs. It's a powerful spring in that lots of small openings put out a lot of clear blue water but there's not one big central hole in the water where water is boiling out. It used to be a roadside attraction that they're slowly letting decay in places until it's just a plain old park. That or they aren't noticing the rust and how certain plants are dying. So there are fake waterfalls (water pumped up), empty animal cages, and many patches of of azalea flowers (non-native but bright and pretty at right time of year).
