1) What It's Like

It's a dirt (shell?) road going through the Lower Suwannee NWR. It looked like interesting habitat but driving slow we saw one water moccasin on the trail. That is all.

2) Kinds of Birds

Driving - don't count on anything. Maybe a heron.

3) Wildlife

Driving - don't count on anything. We saw one snake.

4) Amenities

They had a winch to hang dead dear - which I thought was very odd for a nature drive. Just think of the kiddies!

5) Time Requirements

I doubt it was 20 minutes.

Experience

Doing it again I definitely would just park the car and walk or just park the car on the side of the road periodically. We were less daring then about getting off script at places like this. I'm sure there are things here but I think you're much much much more likely to see things actually walking in the environment.

Go up the road to the Lower Suwannee NWR River Trail - it's pretty breathtaking but the bugs are serious there.
